The last day of classes for the 2025-2026 school year is Wednesday, June 24. School is dismissed three hours early, and buses will run three hours early to take students home to start their summer break.

Schools are not in session on June 25 when staff are on site for an administrative day, and schools close for the summer on Friday, June 26.

The exception is SD8's online learning school, ELEV8-DESK, which operates year-round and is open for continuous registration.

The school district office in Nelson is open for the summer from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and closed on weekends and statutory holidays.
