Our Indigenous word wall is continuing to grow. Naomi has been offering to each class some words in Michif, Sylix, and Sinixt. The next language to be added is Ktunaxa. This new bulletin board is centered in our school, placed for all to see as they travel to our school gym. Continuing our work towards reconciliation, this past Friday, we began our Professional Development day together in taking some time outside to each draft a Territorial acknowledgement, that evoked the five senses, and our responsibility as educators.
