Pink Shirt Society supports not only Wildflower but all schools in SD8, SD20 and beyond!
Yesterday was a special day for all students in SD8 and SD20, but also from the hard work and creative energy brought forth from The Pink T-Shirt Day Society volunteer directors, one being our own - Anne (Epic Clerical and Humanitarian). Anne shares in highlighting this important day with the students at Wildflower. We appreciate all that you do Anne, within our school community and beyond!
The Pink T-Shirt Day Society is a small, all-volunteer, non-profit society in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada. We started out in 2009 and our program has grown substantially since then, providing over 2,000 free t-shirts annually to schools in SD8 and SD20.
With our 5 volunteer directors and business sponsors, we run our bullying prevention program each year. When one year is done, work begins with planning for next year! It is a task we all love, as each year people tell us what a difference we make and that they are thankful for what we do. Hearing people's stories and what the campaign means to them keeps us going.
