Wildflower Creston Grades 2 to 7 and a few students from HomeLinks took part in an EbEd field trip to St.Eugene Residential School near Cranbrook. Students have been learning about the preservation of history, culture and identity of Indigenous people and were able to take part in this informative tour of the building and grounds.

As Minister of Children and Family Development, I am honoured to once again proclaim November as Adoption Awareness month. This month of recognition encourages us to reflect on those in our province who have selflessly opened their hearts and lives through adoption. This month, we also take the time to champion and guide those who might consider adopting now or in the future.

BC’s new Vaccination Status Reporting Regulation came into effect on July 1, 2019. It supports the gathering of immunization records by Public Health. The regulation applies to all students in all schools within the Province’s jurisdiction. Please see the letter below for more information.

The Nelson Nordic Ski Team has an after school program and would really like to get more kids involved in cross-country skiing. They already have the Nelson Nordic School Outreach Program, which hosts over 2000+ students from the SD8 District every season.  See the brochure at Track Attack for more information.
