Pink T-Shirt Day in the Seedlings Class

The seedlings class participated in Pink T-Shirt day by wearing their pink shirts, doing activities, and reading books that teach about empathy, compassion, and kindness. One of the activities the class did was called "wrinkled heart". The students all had a paper cut out heart and Emma asked the them for examples of things that people say or do that hurts their feelings. For each example, the students  folded their heart. She then had the students share positive experiences or ways that others have made them feel good.

Pink T-Shirt Day - February 26, 2020

It's the annual kindness campaign! If your child has a shirt from a previous year that they have outgrown, they can bring it along and share it with someone who may need a pink shirt. The Pink T-Shirt Day Society (www.nobullies.ca) has also donated t-shirts for our students - about 1/2 of our kids will get a free shirt again this year!
Each year, on Pink T-Shirt Day, the Pink T-Shirt Day Society encourages people to wear something pink to symbolize that we as a society will not tolerate bullying anywhere.
