Taryn Stokes and myself had the privilege of attending the British Columbia Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils (BCCPAC) Leadership Summit on November 18th-19th as representatives from our SD 8 District Parents Advisory Council (DPAC).

SD8 focuses on excellence for all learners in a nurturing environment.

2023 Wildflower Ski/Snowboard Lessons
It is that time of the year again to sign up for Friday Whitewater ski/snowboard lessons, and this year we get an opportunity to have 6 ski days and reduced lift tickets for parents are back!

Lesson Dates: 

A good time was had by students (and staff!) on Halloween.

November 8th is a day marked to honour the contributions of Indigenous Peoples to the Canadian Military.

Heather's class is doing a fundraiser with Tru Earth, and on October 5th, the fundraiser will receive 30% commission on each and every sale made through their fundraising link! https://fundraising.tru.earth/heatherclass

For the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the seedlings class learned about Indigenous Peoples, and how our Indigenous Peoples have not always been treated with kindness. We created heart art to show our love to Indigenous Peoples and we read some beautiful read-alouds: When We Are Kind and My Heart Fills with Happiness (both written by Monique Gray Smith).
